    We have an exciting opportunity for a talented, dynamic and committed teacher of Sociology to join our Sixth Form team.  It is an exciting time to join the College and we are looking for an exceptional individual to join our distinctive educational setting.

  • Accommodation Warden

    Are you responsible, able to work on your own, flexible, fair, reliable and trustworthy?  Do you have experience of working with young people?  You could be just the person we are looking for!

    We are recruiting an enthusiastic team of Accommodation Wardens to provide welfare, safety and practical support to students aged 16 and over in our 224 bed halls of residence and host family accommodation. The role will involve liaison with student residents, responsibility for security, safety, wellbeing and organisation of events.

    Applicants must be over 18 years of age, have qualifications in Maths and English levels 4-9 (GCSE grades A-C) or equivalent and will be required to apply for an enhanced DBS check (successful applicants will complete this with the HR team) and participate in induction training prior to shift allocation. Please note that no accommodation is provided with this role.

    We have opportunities for enthusiastic and reliable cleaners to join our friendly team of dedicated cleaning staff who take great pride in providing an excellent quality service to the College and its customers both at the main college campus and the halls of residence.

    Excellent timekeeping, communication skills and the ability to work flexibly and independently are essential requirements. Previous cleaning experience would be an advantage but training opportunities are available.

    As an established and successful College, we are seeking to appoint a Progress Tutor to work in Sport who is a highly committed and motivated individual with a passion for helping learners achieve success in their studies.

    As the Progress Tutor you will carry out a variety of tasks including one to one and group sessions with sports students, monitoring and reviewing students’ attendance and achievement, working with at risk students as well as supporting a range of team activities such as welcome events and induction.

    To apply for the Progress Tutor role you will be highly organised, an outstanding communicator and already have experience of working with, supporting and challenging young people.

    The successful applicant will have a relevant level 3 qualification. A degree or high level qualification in a relevant subject area is desirable but not essential.     You will deliver inspiring teaching and learning to ensure all students are supported to succeed in Economics.  It would be advantageous if you could also deliver A Level Business Studies but not essential.  You will prepare and plan innovative and effective lessons, monitor the performance of students against Alps target grades and provide effective intervention strategies to ensure the success of all students.  You should also be able to contribute to the teaching of Economics on our International Foundation Programme.

    You will have relevant, successful experience of teaching both years of A Level Economics in a post-16 setting.  We do not offer AS levels so you should be able to assess, track and monitor your students effectively over two years.  In the classroom, you must be able to demonstrate the ability to motivate students with varied and outstanding teaching and learning strategies.
