Loughborough is one of the most centrally placed towns in England and benefits from excellent transport links.
Access to the College is easy with the M1 motorway less than three miles away and frequent first class train and bus services are in operation. With regular rail links to and from London, Leicester, Nottingham and Derby, Loughborough College is accessible to students and staff from all over the country. There are also various bus services both locally and as part of a national network which provide an alternative way to travel for those in the surrounding areas.
For access to Loughborough College by motor vehicle, the M1 is less than three miles away giving easy access from most parts of the country. Parking is, however, severely limited and is not available to local students with an LE11 postcode except for those who hold a Blue Badge or have other special requirements.
Parking is always on a strict first come, first served basis for permit holders and visitors alike and once all car park spaces have been filled you must find alternative parking off site.
There are certain rules and regulations concerned with parking at Loughborough College.
We will be using all available space for parking within the terms of our various planning obligations.
For information on the nearest public car parks, please visit Charnwood Borough Council’s Transport and Highways website.

Various services operate in and around Loughborough and connect the College to the surrounding major cities. The 126/127 Arriva bus runs from Leicester to Loughborough, Coalville and Shepshed through the villages every 10 minutes. The airport shuttle, Skylink, also connects Leicester, Loughborough, Derby and Nottingham and services are every 30 minutes.
Locally, the Kinch Sprint shuttle bus service links Loughborough town centre with the College and the railway station every 10 minutes.
Other bus route and tabling information from all areas can be found on the Travel East Midlands website.
The Urban map shows local signed routes, traffic calmed areas and key local facilities. Both the Urban and Rural maps highlight recommended routes, local sections of the National Cycle Network, leisure routes and main tourist attractions. The leaflets also include details of local bike shops, a guide to signs for cyclists and good cycling tips.
Cycle “Sheffield Stands” are freely available at the College and we recommend the use of at least a good quality D Lock.
Cycle Lockers are available for rent, subject to a waiting list (Contact Jo Wright in Admissions).
Showers are available in the Radmoor Centre, 2012 Centre and Technology Centre.
Comprehensive cycle routes and information can be found on the County Council website.
Nottingham East Midlands Airport is just a fifteen minute taxi ride or drive away offering regular flights to and from Europe.

It's great to read about a college and what it has to offer but there's really no substitute for experiencing it at an Open Day.
At our Open Days, our expert staff are on hand to tell you about our courses and what careers they lead to.
They'll also guide you through our application process, explain the different kinds of support available, and talk to you about the huge variety of enrichment activities that you can be part of.
With opportunities to talk to our current students, as well as take part in tours of our campus and halls of residence, an Open Day really is the best way to get a feel for what it's like to be a Loughborough College student.
